Borneo Safety Training Services (BSTS) Sdn Bhd was humbly incorporated in 2001 from a small locally owned Company to an international recognized training provider. BSTS main objective is to provide occupational safety & health, emergency response, skills, awareness and competency training to the oil & gas, marine, construction, food industries in a cost effective and quality manner.

BSTS is located in Miri, Sarawak, Borneo. To date BSTS has trained more than 10,000 personnel from different works of life. BSTS is approved accredited by the following local and international authorities:

1.     STCW 95, Marine Approved Training in Tawau  in 2003- the first in Sabah

2.     STCW 95, Marine Approved Training Centre in Miri 2011

3.     Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB ) Malaysia Approved Centre- the first in Miri

4.     Department of Occupational & Health (DOSH) Malaysia Approved Centre since 2004

5.     Ministry of Health, Malaysia since 2008

6.     Human Resourceful Development Fund Approved Centre since 2010

7.     Petronas Management Unit since 2008

BSTS is accredited with ISO 9001:2000, and is an Oil & gas and Marine Approved Training and Assessment Centre. The area covers 5 acres of land and the facilities comprise of the following:

      - Twelve (12) fully complemented air-conditioned classrooms with full multi-media capability

      - Reception for welcoming & Lounge for relaxation and recreational with free wifi access

      - 2 Cafeterias with seating capacity of more than 150 persons at any particular time with fully air-conditioned and non air-

        conditioned and Free Wifi facilities.

      - A specially designed  training swimming pool which is protected by high roof to prevent sun burn  ,with 2  step –off platforms of

        different height , scramble nets, personnel basket, rope ladders and swing rope transfer simulators.

      - Helicopter Underwater Escape Trainer (HUET) simulator able to configure to any Offshore Operator, Military, Commercial or

        Private sectors for simulating any aircraft exit.

      - Lifeboat Launching Facility.

      - Two  Fireground facilities able to simulate different types of fire situation

      - Two 2 level and 3 level smoke house for indoor firefighting, and Search and Rescue exercises.

      - Confined space entry and authorized gas testing simulator used for vessel entry and authorized gas testing and permit to work

        course.

      - Scaffolding and lifting & Hoisting ground

      - Specially designed cars and roads for Defensive  Driving Training

      - Managing of Major Emergencies simulator room for OIM and ECC
